SHERMAN OAKS (CNS) - A man was taken into custody in Sherman Oaks Tuesday after leading authorities on a pursuit on the Ventura (101) Freeway.
The man driving a silver sedan made his way on the southbound Ventura Freeway to the Encino area by about 2:40 p.m., though the pursuit began in the Ventura area after the man failed to stop at a stop sign, according to the California Highway Patrol
The suspect continued to drive southbound on the freeway until a CHP SUV performed a PIT maneuver on his vehicle in the area of Woodman Avenue, causing the sedan to spin out and come to a stop.
The man surrendered to police and was taken into custody just after 2:45 p.m.
