A New Mexico woman was recently charged with felony robbery after passing her dinner bill onto God and ditching the scene. Delila Hernandez, 30, visited a Sonic fast food restaurant earlier this week and shocked the Las Cruces employee after he asked for payment and she responded "this one's on God." The employee notified the woman that "that's not how this works," yet still proceeded to give her the meal after Hernandez voiced threats. Authorities were notified after the woman, who rode her bike to the location, sped off.
Hernandez told officers that she did feel bad about her actions, and although considered not eating the food, ultimately gave in because she was hungry. The 30-year-old has been charged with a felony robbery. The paper reports that this charge could likely be reduced to a petty misdemeanor of under $250 and there is a possibility that she would have to pay back the restaurant and additional fines.
