All year round we have to sit through the embarrassing, popsicle stick, terrible and very much corny dad jokes.
However, it’s that time of year again where a calendar date tells us that it is time to appreciate our fathers. Basically what that means is that when we call, it’s not just to say “put mom on the phone.”
For Father’s Day, we will refrain from scrunching our face when dad begins to rant about how “cool and hip” he is. For Father’s Day, we will laugh when he says, "Want to hear a joke about construction? I'm still working on it." For Father’s Day, we will tell all the wonderful fathers out there how much we adore them because without them, how else would we have learned to ride a bike or hide broken items from mom.
Thank you to all of the great fathers out there who continue to fix our mistakes for us while still being able to tell a toe-curling awful joke.
