'Avengers: Infinity War' Continues Dominance at Theaters

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Avengers: Infinity War'' continues to be unstoppable at the box office, easily dominating theaters over the weekend en route to collecting another $62.1 million, according to final figures released today.

The weekend haul by the latest gathering of Marvel superheroes pushed the film well beyond the half-billion-dollar mark, giving it a three-week haul of $548.1 million, according to box-office tracker comScore.

The Melissa McCarthy back-to-school comedy ``Life of the Party'' debuted in second place, taking in $17.9 million between Friday and Sunday. The Gabrielle Union drama ``Breaking In'' was a close third with $17.6 million. Meanwhile, the remake of the amnesia comedy ``Overboard'' earned $9.9 million over the weekend to land in fourth place, while the thriller ``A Quiet Place'' continued to attract audiences, earning $6.5 million and pushing its six-week total to $169.6 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were ``I Feel Pretty'' ($3.8 million); ``Rampage'' ($3.5 million); ``Tully'' ($2.2 million); ``Black Panther'' ($2.1 million); and ``RBG'' ($1.2 million).
