Apparently 'Brosectomies' Are a Thing Now

Attention all men, if you've every thought about taking the venom out of your snake with a (relatively) painless snip, you can now share that experience with your closest male friends.

According to the Wall Street Journal, 'Brosectomies' are a rising trend in which for just a few thousand dollars, men can get a $500 vasectomy, snacks, a steak dinner (and probably a stiff drink or two if the surgeon allows that). Men are even able to recover in a luxurious lounge where they can watch sports with any of their pals who went through the procedure with them.

Group vasectomies are apparently help make the men who are nervous about a sharp knife near their favorite parts a bit more relaxed and willing to get snipped.

"We thought it was going to be painful," Jeb Lopez told the Journal, after a getting a vasectomy at a clubby clinic with friend Rob Ferretti, who videotaped the experience, but it was more like getting snapped with a rubber band. "After that, we were just laughing, I guess it's from the alcohol, but we had such a great time."

Vasectomies are far easier than than the same type of procedure for women (tubal ligation). Most tubal ligations require general anesthesia and surgery whereas vasectomies can be done under a local anesthesia with an incision that is so small, it may not even need stitches.

Of course, if you're not ready for the last snip, you could always get the boys together for a Brazilian wax.
