Father of 5-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murdering his missing son

The father of the missing 5-year-old boy from South Pasadena has been arrested on suspicion of killing him according to LA County Sheriff’s office.

Aramazd Andressian Jr. was reported missing on April 22 by his mother, after her ex-husband failed to show up with their son for a planned custody exchange in San Marino.

Aramazd Andressian Sr. had been found earlier that morning passed out next to his BMW which had been covered with gasoline.

Andressian Sr. had initially been arrested later that day before being released days later.

On Friday June 23rd he was booked at Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and is being held on $10 million dollars bail.

#LASD Homicide Bureau Investigators Arrest Aramazd Andressian Sr., For the Murder of His Missing Son

Today, Friday, June 23, 2017, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Homicide Investigators arrested 35-year-old Aramazd Andressian Sr. for the murder of his son Aramazd Andressian Jr.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide investigators coordinated the arrest with LA County Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau Fugitive Taskforce, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department CAPE (Major Violator/Narcotics Crimes Bureau), Homicide Section and the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Taskforce of the United States Marshals Service. The suspect was booked at Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with a bail of $10 million dollars and will return to Los Angeles County pending the extradition process.

After reviewing all of the evidence in this case, Homicide Investigators presented the facts to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and obtained a murder filling against the suspect.

Aramazd Andressian Jr. is a 5-year-old boy who was last seen in the early morning hours of Friday, April 21, 2017, when he was in the custody of his father, Aramazd Andressian Sr.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will discuss more details about the case at a press conference on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hall of Justice.
