You will soon be able to apply for a job at a McDonalds through Snapchat

You will now be able to apply for a job whilst scrolling through your Snapchat feed.

McDonalds plans to use a Snapchat portal to give people between the ages of 18-24 information about their summer job programs. The company hopes to gain the attention of their target hiring demographic by using the popular app.

On June 13, Snapchat users might see 10-second videos of real restaurant employees talking about “the benefits of working at McDonald’s”, according to the fast-food chain.

In NYC the restaurant chain hopes to hire more than 8,100 new employees between June and August.

McDonald's created the job application program, 'Snaplications'. This app will allow potential employees the opportunity to start their application to work at a McDonalds through the Snapchat app.

'Snaplicants' will be pushed to a "digital careers hub" where they can download and complete a job application.

“As we see the younger generations seeking out their first jobs this summer, we want to make them aware of the great opportunities available at McDonald’s,” said McDonald’s franchisee Paul Hendel
