L-A has launched an electric car-sharing program in some of the city’s poorest neighborhoods. The city will eventually have one hundred cars near downtown, MacArthur Park and Koreatown.
State Senate Leader Kevin de Leon says all people should have access to clear cars.

L-A leaders say electric cars in poor communities will clean up the air. The city is putting one hundred electric cars in some neighborhoods near downtown. California Air Resources Board Member Hector de la Torre says the car-sharing program will cost about ten bucks a month.
He says the city is going to install two hundred charging stations for the two-door hatchbacks.
