Alexander “Sandy” Wells recently joined the KFI news team as morning news editor.
He has worked as a radio news street reporter, anchor, writer, and editor in Los Angeles for more than two decades.
As morning news editor for KABC, he shared a Golden Mike with Teri-Rae Elmer for "Best Newscast Under 15 Minutes."
He has also written about radio for several publications including the Los Angeles Times, the LA Radio Guide, and Radio World, and wrote a weekly radio column for the San Gabriel Valley News Group for ten years.
He enjoys acting and is active in the Los Angeles theatre scene. He grew up in the Boston area and has misplaced his accent.
