A Texas woman is behind bars after she reportedly left her two children home alone -- for more than two months, authorities say.
Raven Yates was arrested this week in Mobile, Alabama, where she was found staying in the home of a male friend, according to the Roman Forest Police Department. She had been on the run since November 14th, 2022, when the father of one of her children found her two kids home alone, police say. The kids, a 12-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, had been left alone for more than two months "without access to food or medical supplies," police say.
Yates is currently awaiting extradition back to Montgomery County, Texas, where she’s expected to face two counts of abandoning and endangering a child without intent to return, prosecutors say.
