Sheriff Alex Villanueva called in to explain to John & Ken why his critics are full of it.
Sheriff Villanueva has an on-going feud with the LA County Board of Supervisors who want to get rid of him.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Nov. 10, narrowly passed a measure that directed county staffers to explore ways to remove Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva from office, and perhaps even change the way future sheriffs would ascend to the position.
In a 3-2 vote, the supervisors approved the study into the feasibility of legislative changes required to appoint or remove a sheriff. A report will come come back to the board on Jan. 5.
“Despite the exponential growth of the county’s population, and tremendous advances of modern-day policing, we are still beholden to what can be dexcibed as an anacronostic model of law enforcement,” said the motion’s author, Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.
Sheriff Villanueva talked about why they hate him and why he won't meet their demands.
We don't agree with all of the Sheriff's policies, but these Board of Supervisor clowns are out of line.
