Earlier this week, gang member Zachary Castaneda went on a stabbing spree in Garden Grove.
The Los Angeles Times released video depicting part of the attack below. CONTENT WARNING: The video is graphic and may be disturbing to some viewers.
A John and Ken listener also sent a video of Castaneda arguing with his neighbor as seen below.
But with all of this, many are wondering if Castaneda should have been free from prison.
The Orange County Register wrote an about how many are blaming Assembly Bill 109 for the stabbing spree but that he was actually not released early because of the bill.
They claim that AB109 and Prop 47 which lessened some drug offences from felonies down to misdemeanors have "served as a flashpoint for law enforcement officials angered by the move away from longer incarcerations".
So what should we make of all this? Listen below to find out!
