A woman in Connecticut spent the last few moments of her life tracking her ex-husband on an iPad app before he fatally shot her.

Catherine Taylor was with her 45-year-old stepson on Sunday night, when she asked him to call the police after seeing her ex-husbands location lurking around the building. According to police, the ex-husband then broke into the home, shooting and killing Taylor with a rifle.

The stepson immediately called police, and held the man down until help arrived.

James Taylor, 75, is now facing charges of home invasion, murder, attempted murder, and others. According to the stepson, the couple divorced 25 years ago but still lived together until last May.

The stepson said "he didn’t have a conceptual memory of what happened but he did remember being there,” the report read. “Taylor stated that ‘I think trying to justify things like this is horrible.’”

The judge set Taylor's bail at $2 million. He's due back in court on February 19.
