$5 Million San Francisco Airbnb Home Left Completely Trashed

A man has left an Airbnb rental home trashed after using it as a place to do drugs for three months straight.

The owner came home to his 5-million-dollar home in San Francisco to find that the renter had been using his place "as a safe place for him to inject heroin."

Used needles, human waste, bent spoons, empty bottles and trash were found throughout the home.

The owner said the renter checked out of his house after about three and a half months. He went back to his place after the renter had left, and said he “immediately smelled the stench right outside the door.”

The Airbnb rental company released this statement to The San Francisco Gate:

"There have been over 300 million guest arrivals and negative incidents are extremely rare. We have zero tolerance for this type of behavior and have removed this individual from our community. We are in touch with our host and are fully supporting them under our $1 Million Host Guarantee program. The safety of our community is our priority."

The owner has yet to identify the person that rented and trashed his home.
