San Bernardino County Gang Prosecutor in Trouble for Crude Posts

Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem is currently under investigation for some of his tasteless social media posts and now there are demands for his dismissal. Selyem posted crude comments and posts on both Facebook and Instagram targeting Maxine Waters, Michelle Obama, and Hilary Clinton.

Selyem, 50, is the lead attorney in a unit tasked with cracking down on criminal gang activity.

In one Facebook post, Selyem left a comment on a video of Maxine Waters that read:

"Being a loud mouthed c**t in the ghetto you would think someone would have shot this b***h by now..."

Another post reads:

"I am all for white males immigrating here legally and starting a business. It is the terrorist a**holes sneaking in here wanting to kill me and my family that I am opposed to. I cannot believe how shallow democrats are. They must really think people are stupid. I guess that is evident because they actually thought Hilary Clinton could win a presidential election...TWICE!!! LMFAO!!!"

Someone in the office complained about the posts on June 25 and since then the District Attorney’s Office has been aware of the posts and subjected Selyem to an internal investigation.

Both his Facebook and Instagram accounts have been deleted.

Outgoing District Attorney Mike Ramos said in a statement Friday: “We have been made aware of the negative comments and they do not represent the views of the District Attorney’s Office. Since this is a personnel matter I cannot comment any further.”
