Kanye West Previews 'Jesus Is King' With Family and Fans At LA's The Forum

Kanye West's long awaited new studio album "Jesus Is King," and it's accompanying IMAX film of the same name, was previewed for his family members, friends and fans at The Forum in Los Angeles this Wednesday. The "Yeezus" artist was front and center in the venue as he showcased some of the tracks fans can expect to stream this upcoming Friday upon its release. Audience members had their phones sealed shut, in order to create a more intimate experience for those on-site at the preview.

The event kicked off with a screening of his experimental film. Although Kanye did appear in a few of project's musical scenes, performances from his Sunday Service Choir made up the majority of movie. West's newborn son Psalm West also made an adorable, but brief, appearance with his father. The "Jesus Walks" rapper cradled the sleeping newborn while singing one of his soon-to-be released tracks.

Scattered throughout the general admission floor of the venue were several naturalistic, plant inspired art installations. According to Kim Kardashian's Instagram story, the prairie themed floor sculptures were created in collaboration with artist Meg Webster. The vegetative looking pieces mirrored some of the environments West displayed in his film and one platform even served as Kanye's stage from which he DJ'd several new unreleased songs.

Exclusive merchandise items were on-sale at The Forum, all stylized with the same colors, font and embroidery. A hat, T-shirt, long sleeved shirt, sweater and sweatpants featuring the title of the album, Kanye's name and some additional verbiage were available for purchase.

"Jesus Is King" is scheduled to be released via Def Jam Recordings on Friday October 25th 2019.
