This week for our Small Business Shoutout segment Gary & Shannon welcome Ian Bascon, owner, and Dan Ramon, Head Chef, of Holé Smokes located in Costa Mesa. Holé Smokes just opened, Oct 12th in Costa Mesa and has already become popular in OC for its authentic Texas-style barbecue and ‘brisket smoked right.’

Ian Bascon, a second-generation restaurant owner who grew up working in his parents’ restaurants in OC, and Chef Danny Ramon, a San Antonio native, BBQ enthusiast and experienced chef. Holé Smokes believes there are no shortcuts in delivering real, authentic Texas barbecue. All meats are Prime, smoked in-house overnight and are complemented by an array of classic comfort sides and scratch-made sauces. The menu features beloved BBQ classics like Brisket, Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs, Smoked Chicken and marinated Tri-Tip. All meats are smoked low and slow using a 50/50 blend of pecan and oak logs imported from Texas and Oklahoma.
