This week for our Small Business Shoutout segment Gary & Shannon welcome Executive Chef Erik Samaniego of Michael's on Naples, an elevated farm-to-table Italian restaurant located in the charming Italy-inspired neighborhood of Naples in Long Beach. Founded in 2007, Michael’s on Naples is known for making everything from scratch in-house, including pastas, sauces and mozzarella to gelato, and more.
Executive Chef Eric Samaniego heads up the kitchen at Michael’s on Naples and sources all ingredients locally to support California’s farmers and small businesses and offer the freshest cuisine.
Every Wednesday evening, Michael’s on Naples offers a weekly Farmers Market Dinner beginning at 6 PM, utilizing fresh ingredients from the Santa Monica Farmers Market. To create the menu, Chef Eric drives to the Farmer’s Market on Wednesday morning and chooses the produce. He then drives back to Michael’s on Naples in Long Beach and conceptualizes a three-course menu in just a few hours, highlighting the available produce of the day.
The Farmers Market Dinners are only $45 per person, with the option of an additional wine pairing for only $30 per person.
