This week we gladly welcome Strawberry Festival President Andrea Perez to talk about the 63rd Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival.
The Strawberry Festival Association is a Non-Profit organization which supports the GG community. It's run by a group of 21 dedicated Volunteers and each year. The funds, raised from the festival are donated back to local non-profit groups who support Garden Grove residents. Last year, they were able to donate $200,000, including money to the Orange County Ronald McDonald House to fund the elevator in their new house. Over the years, they've donated over 7 million dollars.
The festival is FREE to attend, there is no entrance fee. With over 30 Rides, FREE Concerts, 5 different Contests, 170 vendors and more.

They have also give EIGHT $1,000 scholarships to ONE senior from each of the GGUSD high schools.
Opening ceremony on Friday night includes a gigantic Strawberry Shortcake that serves 2,000 people. A parade on Saturday morning with celebrities, Jennifer Jones Lee, elected officials and other participants.
12 Garden Grove nonprofit groups will to host a booth and sell food; each group keeps 100% of the funds they raise. Jobs Daughters has been selling their strawberry desserts for years and each year, People wait in line for hours to enjoy these delicious desserts.
