Chess Grandmaster and Pro Fisherman Caught Cheating In Scandalous Fashion

Gary and Shannon discuss the alleged cheating of a teenage chess grandmaster and a wild video of pro fishermen getting caught red-handed.

19-year-old Hans Niemann is the fastest rising young top player in modern chess history. Niemann was accused of cheating after defeating 5-time world chess champion Magnus Carlsen in a match on September 5th. Carlsen withdrew from the competition and posted a cryptic tweet that suggested Niemann had cheated.

Chess.com released a detailed report that accuses Niemann of cheating in online chess matches over 100 times, including matches involving prizemoney. Niemann has admitted to previously cheating in 2020 at the age of 16.

A pro fishing duo was caught using fish stuffed with weights and extra filets during a tournament last week. Chase Cominsky and Jake Runyon attempted to walk away with almost thirty-grand in prizemoney with their fraudulently heavy haul in Gordon Park, Cleveland. Officials began to cut open the fish Cominsky and Runyon presented after their total weight was far heavier than expected. The two fishing pros have won several tournaments and won thousands of dollars. Their previous wins are now also being questioned.
