For this weeks True Crime Tuesday, we dive into Eric Schubert's story. He Eric was only 8 years old he had a passion for memorizing license plates and puzzles, his favorite being history themed puzzles. With this specific skill, a 20-year-old Eric Schubert was able to use DNA to build a series of vast family trees and identify a killer. “I like to call myself a mad scientist,” said Schubert, of Medford Lakes. As a junior at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania, Schubert caught the public’s attention earlier this year after Pennsylvania State Police said he helped them solve the murder of 9-year-old Marise Chiverella, closing a 57-year-old cold case.
