The pandemic has affected all of us, especially our children. From being out of school to sports being cancelled, parents have been concerned about their well being.
So when Steele Canyon High School assistant coach Brian Afoa created the Let them Play High School Football League, using the argument that sports help the well-being of these kids amid the pandemic and that the science shows that outdoor sports don't spread Covid in a significant way, it really appealed to coaches, parents and students.
So Let Them Play California was created. The intent of the movement is to get Governor Newsom's attention in the hopes that he will allow a high school sports season like other states have.
