There are people who think something should be done, and then there are people who do it.
Dave Portnoy is one of those people.
Portnoy is the President of Barstool Sports, and he's been frustrated with how Congress has failed this country's small businesses during this pandemic, so he decided to do something about it.
On December 17th, he launched The Barstool Fund with $500,000 of his own money to help as many small businesses as he can. He took to social media to spread the word and ask for donations, and it's been a huge success so far. Support and donations have flooded in from people like you and celebrities like Tom Brady, Guy Fieri and Kid Rock.
As of today, he's raised more than $20 million and helped 95 small businesses across the country. He recently helped Riverside County's Cactus Cantina and the Anaheim White House by raising money to pay Chef Bruno's staff while the restaurant is closed.
Portnoy is happy with the success so far, but says they still have more businesses to help, you can help by making a donation to The Barstool Fund.
If you're a small business or know a small business that needs help, you can submit them HERE.
