Well, it was big news today when we found out that the New Yorker suspended Jeffrey Toobin for exposing his junk to colleagues during a Zoom meeting. Now we're learning more details about what exactly happened.
Two people told Vice that last week Toobin was on a call with a bunch of people from the New Yorker and WNYC radio, when at some point it looked like he was taking another call. That's when his camera lowered and they saw him touching his penis.
Toobin said in a statement to Motherboard:
“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers. I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video."
The New Yorker has since suspended Toobin, and so far CNN has not commented on what happened. So what was he doing? Fooling around online with someone else while he was supposed to be working?
