This year was already bizarre to begin with, but now Scott Peterson is back?! Yesterday the California Supreme Court ordered a trial judge to re-examine Peterson's murder convictions and determine if they should be overturned.
Peterson was convicted of killing his wife Laci and their unborn son. You remember all of this right? It was such a huge story for so long, John and Ken even went up to Peterson's house in Modesto and yelled at him with bullhorns.
Apparently one of the jurors on the trial didn't tell anyone that she had been involved with previous legal proceedings. The order sent back to San Mateo County Superior Court said, "Juror No. 7 committed prejudicial misconduct by not disclosing her prior involvement with other legal proceedings, including but not limited to being the victim of a crime.”
That juror is Richelle Nice, who failed to disclose that she had taken out a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. All of the jurors were asked if they had ever been a victim of a crime or involved in a lawsuit, and Nice said "No" to both of those questions.
So what does all of this mean? Former KFI News reporter and current Fox News reporter Laura Ingle called in today to unpack all of this news. Crazy!
