New footage shows the moment a bloodied LASD deputy helped dress her partner's wounds after both of them were ambushed in their patrol vehicle in Compton Saturday night.
31-year-old deputy Claudia Apolinar had just been shot in the jaw, but amazingly she still managed to help her 24-year-old partner with his wounds.
The hunt is still on today for the suspect, with the reward money raised to $200,000. Meanwhile both deputies are in the hospital and are expected to recover.
A GoFundMe has been set up and so far has raised over $300,000. KFI News' Steve Gregory and Tim Conway Jr. spoke to LA County Sheriff Villanueva last night, and Steve joined us again this morning to discuss the latest.
