Fitbit and other wearable fitness tracking devices have been around for a while now, but Amazon's new wearable wellness device takes things to the next level. Today the company unveiled Halo, and it can do a lot.
This thing can scan your body via your smartphone camera and can calculate your body fat percentage. After you take your pictures (which Amazon says it will erase immediately...) you can use a slider to see how your body would look with more or less body fat.
Amazon Halo can also sense the tone of your voice and gives your reports on your emotional state throughout the day. With all the distrust in giant tech corporations, it will be interesting to see how this device will be received. We're just looking for a device that tells us how far we ran, do we really need all of that other stuff?
Our good techie friend Marc Saltzman joined Mo'Kelly to discuss that, plus ways to boost your Wi-Fi networkd during the Coronavirus pandemic. Everyone's stuck at home sucking up bandwidth which is leading to bad signals and stalled Zoom meetings.
Marc's got all kinds of tips in his latest USA Today article. Give it a read and check out today's #TechTalk with Marc and Mo'Kelly!
