Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly thinking about calling it quits, according to a report from the Daily Mail. DeGeneres has been under fire for the last few weeks from show staffers who allege she and producers foster a toxic work environment.
So far we haven't seen any big names defend her, and today Everybody Loves Raymond Actor Brad Garrett weighed in saying he knows people who were treated poorly by DeGeneres.
DeGeneres sent a statement out to her employees, apologizing and admitting her workplace was not "a place of happiness:"
"Hey everybody – it’s Ellen. On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show."
Ellen DeGeneres? More like Ellen DeMeaniepants, right? We'll have to see how this all plays out. Entertainment reporter Jason Nathanson joined us from the Hollywood Hot Tub to discuss the latest accusations against Ellen DeGeneres and her producing staff, and also previewed some new things we can watch this weekend. The pH is balanced, the bubbles are roaring, and the water is hot. Let's get in!
