Some of the biggest people on Twitter were the victims of a major hack yesterday. Some of the people affected included Elon Musk, Joe Biden, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, and Kim Kardashian.
Their accounts asked users to send Bitcoin to a specific address and promised to double the amount.
The FBI is now investigating what is being described as the worst attack in the company's history. The bureau's San Francisco division released the following statement:
"At this time, the accounts appear to have been compromised in order to perpetuate cryptocurrency fraud. We advise the public not to fall victim to this scam by sending cryptocurrency or money in relation to this incident."
President Trump's did not appear to be affected by the hack, and today Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the President will remain on the social media site. Our friend and tech columnist Marc Saltzman joined us to discuss what happened, and also told us about a cool way you can watch Netflix with your socially distant friends!
