Gordon Ormond is happy in his mugshot. Why is he happy? We have no idea because Thursday night after a low speed chase he was arrested for his 5th DUI. Officers started to follow him when he ran a red light and ignored their signals to pull over. He drove erratically into a basketball hoop and sped up to a "fast" 35 mph in a failed attempt to lose the officers. The chase finally ended when he drove his work van over spike strips. Ormond then admitted to officers that he was driving with a suspended license. It turns out it is his 12th arrest for driving with a suspended license. All in all, he was charged with a DUI, driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing to elude and failure to submit to a breath test. He was released on a $10,000 bail.
