Is your son or daughter in a 4-year college, or getting close to enrolling in one? Maybe they have a 4-year degree and are struggling to find work or a sense of fulfillment. Maybe they should think about a trade school. Hard things need to get done, and the people who have the skills to do them do very well for themselves.

Somehow over the years we've been conditioned to think that a white collar job is the best thing for us, but that's not always the case. Mike Rowe joined Gary today to talk about all the different trade school options available, and the importance of good old fashioned hard work. It's time to change people's perceptions. He makes a lot of sense!

You already know we're on the iHeart Radio app, and Mike Rowe is too! His podcast The Way I Heard It is the number one short-form podcast in America. Each week, Mike tells a story you don't know about a person, place, or thing. He's got a book coming out too, which is also called The Way I Heard It. The book is a mix of biography and auto-biography, like a mix of his podcast and stories from his personal life and career.

The Way I Heard It will be released nationally on October 15th, but you can pre-order it now at mikerowe.com/book.
