#TastyTuesday: Summer Foods & Grilling Veggies

The kids are playing outside all day.

The in-laws keep coming over for barbeques.

The swimsuits seem to be shrinking by the day.

It's summer time and you need to know what to make.

It is super easy to fall into the same, simple cycle of grilling up hot dogs, tossing down hand fulls of potato chips, and buying soda, beer, and pre-made margaritas in bulk. It's not a good habit, and you know. It all tastes sooooo good, but your conscience (and belt) is telling you that you need to change something.

The Daily Meal did some research, and they say you need to say goodbye to all these super unhealthy foods!

  1. Cut 'Em - Slice up your veggies to maximize surface area on the grill.
  2. Combo 'Em - Put similar textured veggies together.
  3. Prep 'Em - You might need to precook some of them.
  4. Oil 'Em - It helps with flavor and moisture.
  5. Watch 'Em - Don't walk off. They will burn.
