Joe Nicchi is the owner and operator of CVT Soft Serve, a Los Angeles based ice cream business. As a New York transplant with acting and writing pursuits, he opened shop to supplement his income as he started a new family, and to address his general frustration for the lack of quality soft serve on the west coast. "Overnight Success" is often an exaggerated phrase, but CVT was named "Best Food Truck Los Angeles" by the L.A. Times, Eater LA and Los Angeles Magazine after only three months of opening its doors. The business quickly gained national attention from a viral news story thanks to his idol Bill Murray. His social media provides a no-nonsense daily dose of comic relief, which is a breath of fresh air for those looking to treat themselves in a town full of vegan, gluten-free dessert...don't get him started on Coachella which he proudly celebrates each year as "No-Chella" a hipster-free weekend celebration. CVT went international thanks to his "Influencers Pay Double" policy after he was burned out on influencers asking for free product in exchange for a social media shout out. His new policy was featured in Time Magazine, Newsweek, National Geographic and The BBC to name a few. Take a listen to his amazing story!
