The Fork Reporter had the opportunity to speak with Owner Rob Arellano and Chef Sergio Ortego of Descanso in Costa Mesa, CA.
Descanso is a modern taqueria that celebrates authentic Mexican food that is prepared right in front of you. Chef Sergio is from Morelia, Michoacan and fell in love with cooking after experiencing it with his grandmother and aunts. At the age of 22, he moved to Southern California and pursued a culinary degree at the Art Institute in Orange County.
With over ten years of experience, Descanso is worth the visit.
