C-CAP Program Director Lisa Fontanesi, Fork Reporter Neil Saavedra and Chef Monti Carlo of Food Network
Here at the Fork Report, we simply can not say enough good things about the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (or "C-CAP" as they are more affectionately known).
With its holistic approach to culinary training and career exploration, C-CAP prepares students for the workplace through chef mentoring, field trips, job shadows, work experience and job readiness skills, educational scholarships, and college and career advising.
Since its innovation in 1990, the national non-profit impacts more than 17,000 students a year, and has issued $56 million in scholarships.
Now, C-CAP Los Angeles division and Jonathan Club’s Chef Jason McClain invite you to the 4 Chefs 4 Kids Harvest Dinner!
The benefit will raise funds to support C-CAP’s programs in the Los Angeles area that provide under served high school students with education and career opportunities through the culinary arts.
The evening will start with a very special Cocktail Reception at 6:30 pm featuring a delectable selection of hors d’oeuvres, premium wines, local craft beers and specialty cocktails created by Special Guest Mixologist Anthony Greco* (*C-CAP Alumnus).
The Dinner & Live Auction portion of the evening will start at 7:30 pm where chefs Susan Feniger (Border Grill), a true Celebrity Chef with numerous accolades, and Monti Carlo of Food Network’s The Best Thing I ever Ate, will cohost as Special Guest M.C.s for the evening, while guests enjoy a four-course dinner prepared by four of L.A.’s most talented chefs, all of whom give their time to support C-CAP Los Angeles students and alumni, an organization they are all very passionate about:
