Hey Forkers! Producer Mondo here with a quick recipe just in time for football season. This is my quick onion dip that is always a hit at parties. It goes great with chips and on burgers!
Ingredients
1 White Onion (Chopped)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 Cloves of Garlic (Chopped)
8oz Mayo
8oz Sour Cream
2 Table Spoons of hot sauce (for taste)
Salt and Pepper
Directions
Get your pan to a medium high heat and add your olive oil. Then add your onions, garlic salt and pepper. Stir the mixture around so they don't burn. You are going to cook the onions until they are a golden brown. This will release the sugars from the onions and bring a sweet aroma. Once they are nice and golden brown you will be able to smell the sweetness of the onions (this is my favorite part). While you let the onions cool mix the mayo and sour cream together. Add the onion mixture to the sour cream and mayo mix. Add hot sauce to taste and salt to taste. You should get a dip that is sweet with a little bit of heat at the end. Enjoy!
