California Leads Country with Most "Game of Thrones" Inspired Names

People have been taking inspiration for their children's names from books, movies and songs for years.

Though it seems one franchise is ruling them all...in California at least.

The Golden State leads the nation with the most "Game of Throne" inspired names.

According to data by Crossword-Solver.com, since 2011 more than 20,000 babies were given a GoT themed name and of those children, 3,719 were in California.

Apparently the names are so popular, that if you meet a child between the ages of 2-11 there is a one-in 1,292 chance that they have a name inspired by the show.

Arya, the youngest daughter of Ned Stark, leads the pack with more than 18,000 of them born since 2011 and 2,620 Arya's in CA.

In second, is Khaleesi (which is a TITLE, NOT A NAME) with 443 California babies and Tyrion came in third with more than 400 nationwide.
