According to FOX News, two inactive satellites launched decades earlier nearly collided approximately 560 miles above Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania yesterday, which could have caused a fast traveling debris cloud out in space.
Fortunately, the U.S. Space Command confirmed that the people of Pittsburgh do not have to worry about the two satellites since the collision was successfully avoided.
Additionally, a satellite tracking company known as LeoLabs, Inc. confirmed that the two satellites are currently traveling in opposite directions.
In the meantime, scientists have done an additional assessment on the incident and are still keeping an eye on the satellites to ensure the situation stays under control.
