Furries Save Woman, Hold Down Attacker Until Police Arrive

A group of "furries" came to the rescue of a San Jose woman who was being assaulted.

The incident occurred over the weekend when FurCon, a convention for people who like to dress in furry animal costumes, was ending.

One of the convention's attendees not in costume, Steven Rodriguez, was with a group of furry friends when he heard a something coming from a vehicle parked on the side of the street.

"It was pretty intense…We saw the passenger just whaling on her. Just a full-on punch."

Rodriguez says he and another man pulled the assailant out of the vehicle, causing the man to then attack them.

The group of furries then jumped into action (a pink dinosaur, a tiger, a cat and a cowboy) grabbed the man, threw him to the ground and sat on him until police arrived.

Video of the incident was captured and you can check it out below.
