VIDEO: LAPD Arrests Woman for Putting Foot on the Train

The LAPD has launched a use of force investigation after a video shows a sergeant pulling a woman off a Metro subway for refusing to take her feet off the seat.

The Facebook video shows the latest on the LAPD issued crackdowns on code-of-conduct violations like eating, drinking, vaping, gambling, littering and placing feet or shoes on seats.

This confrontation began when a sergeant came up to a young woman asking her to remove her feet off the seat.

When she refuses he grabs her arm and pulls her off the train as she clings to rails and yells.

Onlookers gather around saying the woman was only 18 and he was abusing his power.

She says what he was doing to her wasn't fair.

"This is not [expletive] fair that you took me off the train because I had my foot there because I was comfortable like that. There is no law that tells me that I cannot sit that way because I paid to be in there."

A second woman approaches the scene and tells the sergeant he is high on power.

The sergeant eventually calls for back up and the two women are arrested, the 18 year old for loud and boisterous conduct on a train and the second woman for suspicion of battery on a police officer as she allegedly spat on one who arrived as back up.
