A 4 year old girl was riding in a church van when she unlatched the emergency door and fell onto the highway. Luckily, a man named Ryan Ciampoli stopped to help. Ciampoli is an EMT and a volunteer fireman. He was off-duty at the time, but that didn't stop him from coming to the rescue.
Usually, first responders do not like to move injured people, but Ciampoli knew he had to get the little girl out the road.
The girl needed jaw surgery, but is expected to fully recover.
Police said the driver of the van will not be charged with any offense.
The church, Christian Life Center Church, reported that they will not use the van again.
