The NFL Sunday Ticket package is officially headed to YouTube.
- On Thursday, the NFL announced a deal with Google to acquire the package for $2.5 billion per year. It will be available as an add-on to YouTube TV or as a standalone package.
- The Sunday Ticket has been exclusively part of Direct TV ever since it launched in 1994. Apple had also been interested in acquiring the package, but dropped out of the running earlier this week.
- YouTube's coverage will begin with the 2023 season.
