According to firefighters, the unnamed 11-year-old heard fire alarms in his apart go off and ran outside. He then realized that his 2-year-old sister was still in the 2nd-story apartment.
- He rushed back into the burning building and carried his sister out to safety. The boy suffered minor burns on his arms and the little girl was unharmed.
