The husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi was attacked in their San Francisco home today by a hammer-wielding assailant.
- 82-year-old Paul Pelosi Suffered a skull fracture and other serious injuries. He underwent surgery after the attack.
- The suspect, David DePape was in his underwear when police arrived and now faces several felony charges.
- The suspect reportedly said "Where is Nancy?" during the attack.
- DePape was also taken to the hospital for undisclosed injuries.
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins made a quick statement on Twitter:
“We are coordinating closely with federal and local law enforcement partners on this investigation. We will bring forward multiple felony charges on Monday and expect DePape to be arraigned on Tuesday. DePape will be held accountable for his heinous crimes."
