LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Julio Urías will attempt to continue his road success when the Los Angeles Dodgers face the Miami Marlins Sunday in Miami in the third game of a four-game series.

Urías shares the major league-lead with eight road victories with Houston Astros teammates Framber Valdez and Justin Verlander and Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly. Urías has won six consecutive starts on the road with a 1.70 ERA in 37 innings.

Urías (13-7) had his 10-game winning streak snapped in his last start, when he allowed one run and two hits over six innings in a 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers Monday at Dodger Stadium in a game the Dodgers trailed 1-0 when he left.

Urías will be facing the Marlins for the first time since July 8, 2021, when he limited Miami to one run and six hits over seven innings in a 6-1 Dodger victory at loanDepot park. Urías is 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA in two career starts against the Marlins.

Rookie right-hander Edward Cabrera (4-1) will pitch for Miami. Cabrera was on the injured list from June 15 to Aug. 5 due to right elbow tendonitis. Cabrera has made four consecutive scoreless outings since returning to the Marlins, including allowing two hits over eight innings in a 3-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics Monday.

Cabrera was sidelined at the start of the season due to a right biceps injury.

Cabrera will be pitching against the Dodgers for the first time.

The Dodgers are 15-9 in Urías' 24 starts. Miami is 5-2 in Cabrera's seven starts.

The 9:05 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time game will be streamed exclusively on Peacock as part of its "MLB Sunday Leadoff" package. A Peacock Premium subscription is required to view the game and is available at no additional cost for eligible Xfinity or Cox customers. The Dodgers (87-38) have a 6 1/2-game lead over the New York Mets (82- 46) in the race for home-field advantage throughout the postseason. They have won 42 of their 52 games since June 29, including 19 of 24 in August.

The Dodgers have scored a major league-high 675 runs and allowed a major league-low 397.

The Marlins (55-71) are 27th among the 30 MLB teams in runs with 462.

The Dodgers lost to Miami, 2-1, Saturday, with all-star right-hander Sandy Alcantara rebounding from his worst performance of the season to limit them to six hits.

Mookie Betts accounted for the lone Dodgers run with a third-inning home run, his 30th of the season and third in the past two games.

Dodger right-hander Dustin May (1-1) was charged with the loss, allowing two runs and five hits over six innings in his second start of the season after not pitching since May 2, 2021, when he suffered a season-ending elbow injury that required Tommy John surgery.

The complete game was Alcantara's major-league leading fourth of the season. Valdez and Philadelphia right-hander Aaron Nola are the only other pitchers with multiple complete games with two each.

Alcantara (12-6) allowed six runs and 10 hits, both season highs, in 3 2/3 innings, his shortest start of the season, in a 10-3 loss to the Dodgers last Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
