One Arrested, 41 Cited  During Pomona DUI Checkpoint

POMONA (CNS) - One person was arrested for driving under the influence and 41 motorists were cited for driving an unlicensed vehicle or driving with a suspended/revoked license during a DUI/drivers license operation Saturday in Pomona.

The checkpoint was held from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday at Garey and Monterey avenues, according to the Pomona Police Department's Traffic Services Bureau.

In addition to the one arrest and 41 drivers cited, 11 vehicles were towed during the operation.

In 2021, Pomona Police Department investigated 125 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and 38 injured people.
