Police Activated After Supreme Court Decision

The U.S. Supreme Court Overturns Roe V. Wade

The Washington, D.C. Police Department is fully activated following protests over the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

The Metropolitan Police Department said in a bulletin said the activation would support expected First Amendment demonstrations adding, "all members should be prepared to work extended tours as necessary."

The US Capitol Police say they are "working closely with our law enforcement partners in order to prepare for demonstrations related to the Supreme Court.”
