A swimmer is recovering from "significant injuries" after he was attacked by a shark off the shore of California.
The attack happened around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday just off of Lovers Point Beach, authorities say.
A group of surfers and paddleboarders, who witnessed the attack, brought the unidentified man to the shore, police say. He's now in a local hospital, where he's listed in serious condition.
Lovers Point Beach is now closed until Saturday as authorities conduct an aerial search for the shark, police say.
