WESTMINSTER (CNS) - Police Thursday sought the public's help to identify the suspect or suspects who severely beat a 35-year-old man in Westminster.

Jason Lawless was attacked on the evening of May 27, though further details on the crime have not been confirmed, Westminster Police Department Detective Henry Tran said.

Lawless may have been attacked in the area from the Los Alisos Mobile Estates in the 5500 block of Garden Grove Boulevard to the 13000 block of Springdale Street, though WPD Deputy Chief Cameron Knauerhaze said investigators had yet to establish the scene of the crime with certainty.

"Somebody knows something and must have the courage to come forward and help us investigate this case," Knauerhaze said. "Mr. Lawless has a long road to recovery ahead and he deserves justice in this case. Any bit of information can help."

Anyone with information on the assault was asked to call Tran at 714- 548-3810. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
