Los Angeles Dodgers Players Set to Wear Pride-Colored Hats on the Field

In what will be a historic event at Chavez Ravine, the Los Angeles Dodgers will dawn special Pride hats on the field for the first time in game history. The game is set for the evening of June 3rd on their 9th Annual LGBTQ+ Night when they take on the New York Mets.

For interested fans, a package is available that will include a commemorative Dodger LGBTQ+ game jersey to wear during the annual celebration that evening and beyond.

“The Los Angeles Dodgers are proud to stand with and recognize the LGBTQ+ community in Los Angeles and globally,” shared Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten.

Supplies of the exclusive hat will be limited and will only be available at the Top of the Park and Left Field Team stores.

When the Dodgers ship up north to San Francisco days later, they’ll take on the rival Giants at Oracle Park, where both teams will wear their perspective Pride hats in what will be another monumental moment for Major League Baseball.

“The Dodgers have a history of breaking barriers and we’re proud to be a part of another chapter in MLB history as the Dodgers and Giants each wear their team’s price caps on June 11. While our organizations have a long-storied rivalry on the field, we stand together when it comes to equality for all,” added Kasten.

The brand-new Center Field Plaza will host the kickoff party, which starts at 5:30 p.m. PST, with the game starting at 7:10 p.m. The party will feature music from DJ Bowie Jane, drink specials, surprise guests and as always, Friday Night Fireworks to conclude the festivities.

“The Dodgers annual Pride Night has become one of the most anticipated nights of the season. I am incredibly proud to have the added element of the on-field caps this year,” said Erik Braverman, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Broadcasting.

The LA Dodgers Foundation has pledged 50% of the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle to the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
